CONNECT Mobility GmbH is a German software developer and operator of sustainable on-demand mobility. The goal of the Erlangen-based startup is to develop and operate sustainable on-demand mobility to improve car utilization and reduce emissions in mobility.
The product uRyde is an app that connects people by turning car drivers on everyday routes into uRyde drivers and matching them on-demand with fellow drivers.
In doing so, uRyde does not add new vehicles to the traffic, but optimizes the use of existing spare capacity on the roads.
One push of a button in the app and the ride is shared. uRyde uses in-app navigation to navigate drivers to their destinations, while they can spontaneously pick up passengers to earn up to €0.30 per kilometer. Passengers can book themselves on-demand for a suitable ride and pay a share of the ride costs to the driver via in-app payment.
