As Marketing Director/CMO, Klaus Schmaeing has been responsible for Burger King®'s marketing and commercial activities in Germany since August 2018. Together with his team, he steers the brand through the Corona-related challenges and shows, for example, how even a burger griller can become a pioneer in a topic like meat alternatives.
Previously, he was responsible for the local brands in Germany at the fourth largest brewery group in the world - Carlsberg. After studying business administration, he spent almost ten years in the service of consumer goods manufacturer Beiersdorf. Here he held various positions in marketing and sales both in Germany and internationally.
Burger King® has stood for the best flame-grilled burgers since 1954 - since 1976 and with currently around 750 locations also in Germany. Burger King® restaurants are the place where everyone is allowed to be who they want to be - in line with the brand claim: "Make your King". This is the guiding principle that drives Burger King® and makes it successful.
